Biography

Emma Kramer is a senior Photojournalism major at Point Park University. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has been touched by the city’s work ethic. She strives to work the hardest that she can in all that she does. Emma has an eye for photography and attempts to bring life into her work. While writing, she strives to leave the reader thinking and inquisitive about the subject.
She has written for two newspapers over the course of her career; while on staff, she has written news, feature, and editorial pieces. She has also done photography for the publications.  Emma has skills in laying out pages, dealing with web design, and  also managing social media.
Emma someday hopes to work at a job that allows her impact other’s lives. She would enjoy being able to make a positive change for someone else. One of her major interests is to assist the spread of Autism awareness. Her younger brother was diagnosed with the disease when she was 7 years old. Watching his struggle growing up has motivated her to take part in the effort. Now, she is looking for new ways to help spread the word. She would also enjoy working closely with her interests, such as hockey or music.
She hopes to have a long future exploring her passions, such as trying new styles of writing and photography techniques. She believes that life is a sum of its experiences, so she will strive to have as many as she possibly can.
